shoot.blightWhite on the dying stems is the shoot blightQuambalaria pitereka is a fungal pathogen responsible for leaf and shoot blight known as Quambalaria Shoot Blight. This has come from NSW and Queensland but is now in WA, affecting our marri in particular.

The following file contains the research findings of 2011 about the marri flowering being threatened by the introduced pathogen.
