Our first field day of 2020 saw Roleybushcare volunteers at Canning Mills reserve in Roleystone on Sunday the 9th of February.

A big thank you to all the Roleybushcare volunteers who turned out to help in our fight against phytophthora dieback. We protected the trees that are susceptible to the disease across a 200 metre dieback front, and while we were there we took a picture to show the devastating impact of Phytophthora cinnimomi on our native flora. You can find the photo on our Facebook page. Our efforts should halt the spread of the disease for up to five years.

A lovely morning tea was hosted by June and Neville at their house just across the road from the reserve.

Because Canning Mills is a large reserve, we will be back there for the next three or four field days. So keep an eye on our web page for when the field days are coming up.
